Market Leading Fintech is looking for a Director of Accounting and Finance to help guide them through the next stage of growth. This highly visible role will lead a team of 4-5 direct reports within Accounting.
Lending experience required
Responsibilities:
- Support month end, quarter end and year end close process and supporting analysis
- Serve as the point of contact for corporate and business unit functions regarding financial matters
- Prepare, review and consolidate monthly budget and forecasting reports
- Interpret and review financial reports and present strategic plans to senior management
- Work collaboratively in raising capital / venture debt
- Assist in preparation of materials for Board of Director meetings
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance as well as liquidity and tangible net worth monitoring
Must haves:
- 7+ years of finance / accounting experience
- CPA required
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and training small teams
- Lending and Small business experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in GAAP accounting, revenue recognition a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
