Our client, a vertical AI platform built for private markets and commercial banking, is looking for a Staff Infrastructure Engineer.They transform dense, unstructured deal materials into auditable, decision ready insights in minutes, embedded into underwriting, credit and portfolio workflows. This is a hands on infrastructure tech lead seat, working with the founding team to architect, deploy and scale the cloud infrastructure behind an AI driven enterprise analytics platform. Hybrid. Compensation is $200K to $300K plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Architect and implement foundational cloud infrastructure from scratch across compute, networking, CI/CD and observability, writing infrastructure as code rather than just diagrams- Define and execute the technical vision and multi year roadmap for an AWS based platform using ECS, Fargate and containerised Python and Node services- Operate and scale workflow orchestration with Temporal, streaming pipelines, vector search infrastructure and high throughput LLM inference paths- Build infrastructure that meets SOC 2 requirements from day one, including multi tenant isolation, secrets management, least privilege IAM and audit logging- Set standards for IaC, deployment pipelines, incident response, SLOs and on call practice, mentoring engineers along the way- Partner with product, backend, frontend and enterprise customers on data residency, uptime guarantees and deployment modelsSkills & Experience:- 7+ years building and scaling mission critical cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP- Demonstrated experience architecting platforms from the ground up- Strong infrastructure as code practice, ideally Terraform, with GitOps and policy as code- Experience running AI heavy workloads including inference paths, vector search and orchestration- Security and compliance experience, ideally SOC 2 in a multi tenant enterprise environment- Hands on technical leadership, setting operational standards and mentoring engineers
