Our client, a leading conversational AI platform, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for their Agent Orchestration team in San Francisco.Their technology lets industry defining enterprises deploy AI agents across voice, chat, email, SMS and every other channel, and they are backed by a group of the best known venture investors in the market. The Agent Orchestration team builds the core execution layer behind every agent interaction, coordinating model reasoning, evaluating agent behaviour and keeping agents reliable in real customer environments across millions of interactions. In office. Compensation is $250K to $330K plus equity.Role & Responsibilities:- Build the execution engine that powers intelligent agents at scale- Design systems that coordinate model reasoning and actions while staying fast and correct- Own complex distributed systems challenges across the agent execution layer- Improve reliability through better testing, observability and safeguards- Build foundations that help teams evaluate and improve agent behaviour safely and continuously- Shape the architecture behind one of the most advanced agent platforms in the marketSkills & Experience:- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally on distributed or high throughput systems- Strong systems design fundamentals with a focus on correctness, reliability and speed- Experience owning production services and improving them through observability and testing- Comfortable with significant autonomy and ambiguity in a fast moving environment- Interest in LLM behaviour, evaluation and agent reliability- Strong collaborator across engineering, product and applied AI teams
