What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable features
• Build and maintain systems for deployment, observability, alerting, and monitoring
• Participate in architecture direction, code reviews, and technical decision making
• Mentor engineers and contribute to backend excellence and development standards
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and performance

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7+ years of backend or distributed system engineering experience
• Strong foundational computer science knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with SQL, TypeScript, and Node.js in production
• Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
• Experience with real-time systems, streaming, event-driven architectures
• Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills
• Desire for ownership, growth, and learning new technology

Bonus

• Experience shipping LLM-powered or AI-driven features
• Familiarity with CRDTs and real-time collaboration systems
