Our client, the leading personal finance management software business, is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for web and mobile.For over 30 years they have shaped how people track spending and plan for the future, and they continue to build through advanced connectivity, integrated financial services and machine learning and AI initiatives. This role leads a web and mobile engineering team delivering key customer experiences, and suits a leader who combines people management, customer empathy, product partnership and technical judgement, including genuine curiosity about what AI can do in software development. Expected base pay is $220,000 to $235,000.Role & Responsibilities:- Lead a web and mobile engineering team responsible for delivering key customer experiences- Translate customer and business goals into strong technical execution- Partner with product, design and quality leaders to clarify trade offs and guide the team toward scalable, reliable, measurable solutions- Stay close to the codebase through code reviews and occasional direct contribution- Engage knowledgeably with engineers on architecture and long term platform health, setting ambitious targets for performance, quality and developer productivity- Coach engineers across experience levels, create clarity in ambiguous situations and build a high performing team cultureSkills & Experience:- Proven engineering management experience leading web and mobile teams on customer facing software- Strong technical judgement, able to review code and engage credibly on architecture- Practical understanding of consumer product development and customer empathy- Track record coaching engineers at a range of experience levels- Ability to create clarity in ambiguity and build culture grounded in ownership and execution- Thoughtful about evaluating and adopting AI tools rather than simply following trends
